Our fifth event and first major city event, where we saw a 15-fold increase in attendance (255 approved investors out of 396 applicants) since our humble beginnings in Napa Valley in January 2014. Attendance had grown by word-of-mouth, even without a website. ICV Manhattan attracted top institutional investors and more than 130 single family offices, managing over $1 trillion in combined assets. The event’s investor to company ratio was 5:1, without service providers and sponsors. Our 49 presenters included some of the top asset managers in the world by strategy and industry, the largest institutional allocators, New York Times bestselling authors, the former director of the Central Intelligence Agency and the former president of the United Nations General Assembly.

Conscious Capital Events, LLC was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in New York City. Formerly named ICV Events, LLC (Investment Community Visibility), the company hosts events to help family offices consider how to allocate capital across asset classes, examine the interconnected risks that may disrupt a well-thought-out portfolio designed for future generations, and improve the well-being of humankind through their philanthropy. Past event speakers included top fund managers, business leaders, economists, defense and risk experts, Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, heads of UN agencies, Heads of State, civil society leaders, academics, medical researchers, New York Times best-selling authors, Pulitzer Prizewinners, artists, musicians and athletes. The company’s 30 invitation-only events ranged in attendance size (25 to 400 guests) and were conducted without advertising or sponsorship.

Conscious Giving, Inc. partnered with Jefferson, the largest academic medical center in Philadlephia, the fifth largest city in the U.S., to fund proof-of-concept studies that typically go unfunded through traditional government and industry sources and to serve as a vital source of support for innovative research being conducted at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center (SKCC) at Jefferson.

Conscious Giving, Inc. joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with over 8,000 companies and 4,000 non-business signatories based in 160 countries, and a leadership platform for the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible corporate policies and practices. As a Participant of the UNGC, the corporation confirmed its support of the Ten Principles of the UNGC on human rights, labour, environment and anticorruption, and committed to making the UNGC and its principles part of the strategy, culture and day-to-day operations of our the company, and to engaging in collaborative projects which advance the broader development goals of the United Nations, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals.

Conscious Giving, Inc. was granted 501(c)(3) status as a public charity by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), a Department of the U.S. Treasury. Since obtaining its tax exempt status from the IRS, the corporation, through the generous support of its benefactors, has granted approximately $16 million to nonprofits globally.

Conscious Capital, Inc. and Conscious Giving Holdings Company, Inc., a subsidiary of Conscious Giving, Inc., launched a fund to invest in early-stage life sciences companies located in the greater Boston area. The management company employed Venture Engineering® as a hands-on accelerated approach of building companies from the outside in, navigating management teams towards successful collaboration and outcomes, and strategically positioning companies for exits with the help of power brokers.

Conscious Giving, Inc. gained Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), enabling the corporation to engage in a number of ways with ECOSOC and its subsidiary bodies, the Human Rights Council and, under specific conditions, some meetings of the General Assembly and other intergovernmental bodies, as well as with the United Nations Secretariat, providing the designation of official representatives to the United Nations Headquarters in New York and the United Nations Offices at Geneva and Vienna.
